Canon Pixma MG3620 Wireless Review- The Canon Pixma MG3620 is very popular all over the world, not only because of its reasonable price. Wireless all-in-one inkjet printers also make printing super convenient and easy for almost any need. We also provide Canon PIXMA MG3620 Driver Download Software at the link that we have provided below.
Canon PIXMA MG3620 Review Design
The scanner lid occupies most of the top of the unit; You lift it to reveal the scanner plate. To the left of the lid, a control panel with buttons allows you to switch between plain letter-size paper and 4 x 6-inch photo paper, but not other sizes. There is only one paper tray, so you must swap the photo paper when printing photos. You push 4 x 6-inch photo paper all the way into the paper tray, but the protrusions formed by the input tray hinges make it difficult to remove additional sheets.

The control panel also includes buttons for color and black-and-white copies. Since there is no LCD screen on the MG3620, you will need to press the appropriate Copy button repeatedly to make multiple copies. Using the control panel, you can make copies to photo paper, but only on 4 x 6-inch photo paper. You can’t do more complicated copying work because there’s no actual copy software.
The extension to the MG3620’s input tray swings outward, but the two-section output tray is quite short. It extends long enough to support the letter-size print, which hangs at the end.
Canon PIXMA MG3620 Print Speed
MG3620 is not a speed demon in printing text. At 6.4 pages per minute, that lags behind the 7.5 ppm average for the inkjet printers we’ve tested. The MG3620’s Silent Mode slows down text printing a bit. Typically, the MG3620 prints a single page of text in 15.5 seconds; with Silent Mode on, it took 23.2 seconds.
On duplex printing, the MG3620 was significantly slower than the HP Envy 5540, taking more than twice the time (3 minutes and 1 second) to print our five-page text document. In contrast, the MG3620 is fast at printing graphics on plain paper. It printed our six-page text and graphic document in 2 minutes and 24 seconds, or 2.5 ppm, versus the inkjet average of 2:46, or 2.2 ppm. The Canon printer is only 5 seconds slower than the HP Envy 5540, which is the fastest model we tested to date.
Canon PIXMA MG3620 Copy and Scan Speed
Where the MG3620 really shines is in scanning, with performance that surpasses all other models tested to date. It captures a 600-dpi image of a photo in 39.4 seconds — less than half the category average of 1:22 seconds. The HP Envy 5540 took 1:31 seconds longer to perform the same scan.
Canon PIXMA MG3620 Print Quality
The Canon MG3620 utilizes color and shade inks – the previous in the shading cartridges and the last option in the dark cartridges. The hypothesis behind that approach is that color inks produce more lively tones, while shade inks create sharper, heavier text. On standard paper, the text printed by the MG3620 looks as sharp and heavy as those of competing models like the HP Envy 5540, but it doesn’t go beyond that. Some of the edges look a little rough, and I noticed a few tiny specks of the wrong ink spray. Results are even more impressive on high-quality inkjet paper: The MG3620 produces book-worthy text with remarkably sharp edges equivalent to the output of a laser printer when printing from text documents.
Interestingly, the overall print looks lighter when using the MG3620 duplexer. The text also looks a little blurry around the edges. Using high-quality inkjet paper does not increase the sharpness of the text. The MG3620 uses dye-based color inks only when making double-sided prints (and mixing them to create a black composite). And it purposely prints lighter to prevent the ink from escaping through the other side of the paper.
The graphics quality is equally high for the MG3620 print. Colors look rich, dark shades look bold and text is quite sharp. The MG3620 also prints glossy photos with vibrant colors and sharp details. However, the colors aren’t quite as saturated as we’d like, nor are the fine details as sharp, resulting in a bit of contrast and “pop” in the print.
Photo scans look amazing, with rich, accurate colors and sharp details. Dark and dark areas retain their fine details. Copies of the MG3620 experienced areas of shadow in the graphic that were too dark, so detail was lost. The text shape in the copy loses its original sharpness, gaining some wavy edges.
The printer allows you to make larger copies of photos onto 4 x 6 inch photo paper, but when I try to copy 8 x 10 photos, the edges are cut off. The two sizes don’t have the same aspect ratio, and the MG3620’s standard is to fill the entire sheet rather than leaving some white bands that you want to cut. If you prefer otherwise, you should scan your photos using computer software and adjust the settings when creating your prints.
Canon PIXMA MG3620 Ink/Toner Cost and Yield
The MG3620 works with one tri-shading cartridge and one black cartridge. Canon offers high-yield versions of each. In fact, there are two capacities of high-yield black ink cartridges (XL and XXL), although the savings are not that great.
Canon PIXMA MG3620 Setup
To install the MG3620, you will need to remove some tape and insert two ink cartridges. If you insert the CD-ROM into your computer, the printer will simply ask you to go to the company’s website to download the software. If you read the Getting Started brochure first, you’ll see the URL listed there. It’s very easy to connect the printer to my wireless network. The MG3620 setup software on my Windows machine guided me through the process.
The MG3620 is a bit slow to start, taking 18.4 seconds. But as long as you turn on the printer before grabbing your morning coffee, you won’t notice that it starts up 6.5 seconds slower than the HP Envy 5540.
Canon PIXMA MG3620 Software
The Canon Print Service I use on my Android phone works fine, though I wish it would allow me to print from the file’s native app. For example, I can’t simply select Print while in my memo app and select a Canon printer, as I can with the HP printing app.
Finish
The printer features are basic, but if you rarely need to swap papers, don’t make multiple multiple-page copies, and don’t need the LCD for stand-alone operation, you probably wouldn’t expect to buy a multifunction printer with more bells and whistles.
Canon Pixma MG3620 Troubleshooting
You can print from almost anywhere around your home or office, thanks to its advanced wireless capabilities. It also has many amazing features that help increase printing efficiencies, such as Automatic Duplex Printing and Mobile Device Printing.
Using the premium quality Canon MG3620 ink cartridge, it produces exceptional quality prints for standout documents and stunning photos page after page. But just like any other device, it also has a lot of errors that can frustrate users.
Canon Pixma MG3620 Not Printing
From paper jams to unresponsive drivers, there are some common problems you may encounter when using the Canon MG3620. Print results are sometimes also unsatisfactory, and this may be due to the incorrect installation of the ink cartridges. If this happens, you may need to reinstall one or both of the Black and Tri-color ink cartridges. Click here to learn how to troubleshoot ink cartridges.
Based on consumer reports, however, problems in Wi-Fi connectivity are the most common problems with this Canon printer. This usually happens when your printer is connected to a Wi-Fi network with a new SSID.
If you experience this problem, either ends every function of the printer immediately or wait for it to stop working completely. If the wireless indicator is flashing, tap the Stop button. Next, try to follow one of the steps below depending on your computer’s Operating System:
