But on the downside we felt the built quality is not up to the mark – felt a bit plasticky and not solid it.

In front of the performance, the Canon i-SENSYS MF4380dn speeds fared well enough in all three functions – printing, scanning, and copying. Text documents printed quickly at 16 pages per minute (surprising speed for both the normal mode and the same design). It scans a color image in 28 seconds (average for a laser printer), and it copied a page of text in 13 seconds (a little slow here).

Print quality Canon i-SENSYS MF4380dn, though not stellar, it was pretty good. Like most other models here, it produced sharp, dark text was legible even in 2 point type size. A series of narrow parallel lines appear straight and even, with virtually no appeal. Grayscale photos printed at default settings appear too light and slightly washed out though it is smooth and clean.

The copy quality is quite good, with straight black letters on a page copied from the text. Scan color printed has a smooth texture and colors are reproduced accurately. On the screen, however, scan Canon i-SENSYS MF4380dn seem rather dull.

Feature-wise, the Canon i-SENSYS MF4380dn is equipped with the usual choices you would normally find in a laser printer all-in-one and separated from familiar offerings you will not find anything extra. It comes with network support, automatic more duplex (print on both sides without manual intervention) although it only supports A4 and LTR size paper – not a big deal if you use it primarily for home use. The main paper tray holds 100 sheets and is equipped with an automatic document feeder capacity of 50 sheets.

Canon MF Toolbox scanning software lets you scan through your PC and save the image file to an email message or graphics. You can configure two custom buttons to select a scanner and to designate where to put the scan; after that, click on the button will save the scan to a preconfigured.
