Canon i-SENSYS MF8330Cdn Driver Download– The Canon i-SENSYS MF8380Cdw multifunction printers cost more than its cousin, the i-SENSYS MF8080Cw, but is a much better product. It is faster and produces a better output—printing costs are generally the same.
Canon i-SENSYS MF8380Cdw color laser printer also offers automatic duplexing to save paper costs, and it is set to duplex by default – the first in my book and praise for the Canon large green. Above all, it is a workgroup color laser multifunction printer. We are very competitive (copy/print / scan/fax) in its price range.
MF8380Cdw automatic duplexing capabilities include copying, scanning, and printing both sides of a document in a single pass. Bottom-mounted paper cassette holds 250 sheets (100 more than the maximum MF8080CW), and the ADF holds 50 sheets. There is no slot for envelopes as with MF8080CW; otherwise, the front folds down to reveal a 50-sheet multipurpose tray. The output tray holds 150 sheets large enough.
The MF8380Cdw control panel and printer driver lack user-friendliness, which illustrates Canon’s consumer-oriented machines. The software seems incomplete, too: For example, the Mac printer driver lists the valid types of paper, but not the Windows printer driver. Organization and placement options in the driver’s weird, too. On the other hand, the MF Toolbox utility for scanning and OCR is a model of efficiency and friendly design.
Setup via USB and ethernet connections is easy. Wireless, however, requires that you power-cycle MF8380Cdw to switch from Ethernet to Wi-Fi or vice versa. Note also that you can not have both ethernet and Wi-Fi to connect to the printer simultaneously.
Then things go awry: The MF8380Cdw originally appeared unable to detect any Wi-Fi network in our area, probably overwhelmed with the number (more than 20) detected in our building. In locations with fewer networks, it successfully listed all of them.
We tested this feature using manual setup and looking for the SSID, not WPS (Wi-Fi settings are protected), which the unit also supports. Canon quickly delivers updated firmware that partially fixed the problem before, although MF8380Cdw still be able to detect only the ten strongest network signals in the area. If you are not one of them, you can manually enter your network’s SSID via the control panel.
