Printer Reviews– While a global launch of smartphones in India has become common, Canon has announced the worldwide launch of its PIXMA range of printers with refillable ink in India.

Canon has launched four new models of its series Pixma G – G1000, G2000, G2002 and G3000 India. Canon has 33 inkjet printers now full. The USP of these printers is the ink tank integrated rechargeable.
Canon claims that printing performance with this printer is as high as 6,000 pages in black and white and color prints up to 7000. The printers come with individual tanks for cyan, magenta, yellow and black colors. Canon has set the price of replacement ink bottles at Rs 499 per unit.

Otherwise, the G-Series printers include hybrid ink system Canon, combining both pigment ink and color inks of black dye. The engine generates versatile printing 4R borderless photos in just 60 seconds and is also capable of printing A4 size photos. Among the three models, the G1000 is a single-function printer; the G2000 adds scanning and copying functions, and G3000 have additional wireless connectivity and mobile printing features and cloud. For example, the G3000 works with the new Canon Print application Inkjet / SELPHY (available on iOS and Android, and it replaces the old Pixma Printing Solutions), allowing users to print, scan, and access files the printer through your mobile device. Users can also share your files to the cloud-based applications like Facebook, Dropbox, and Google Drive through the Pixma Cloud Link.

G series printers use Canon PIXMA Full-photolithography engineering technology nozzle inkjet printheads to create high-density droplet sizes of microscopic ink. This technology allows printers to achieve high-resolution images with amazing photo quality. All printers have 4800 × 1200 dpi print resolution to 600 × 1200 dpi scanning resolution.

The hybrid ink system Canon PIXMA integrated further optimizes printing resulting in rich, vibrant photos and crisp text documents. These printers can also print borderless photos up to A4 size.

The other useful feature of these printers is that the preparation time on these printers is just 6 minutes compared to 20 minutes in competitive printers as claimed by the company.

PIXMA G Series features new integrated refillable ink deposits with printing performance of up to 6,000 pages and monkey prints color pages printed 7000. The printers have individual ink tanks for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. The replacement ink bottles are priced at just Rs. 499 / – per unit. These printers are profitable as its printing cost is as low as Rs 0.08 per print for mono prints and INR0.21 per print for color prints.
