Canon PIXMA MG8150 Driver Download
The MG8150 is a large box, black with curved corners and a domed lid, in which an 88 mm LCD screen is set. It is not a touch screen, but instead, Canon has incorporated the controls on the top all-in-one, which light up when related functions are available.
This is a lot easier to work with the printer to use most of its rivals touchscreens way, and includes the signature click wheel of Canon, which has now become a sensitive touch ring, indented at the top.
The flatbed scanner has ADF as it is directed to the photo rather than business use. Lift the lid, however, and the white reflector unhooked to reveal a lamp and a slide holder so that the machine can scan slides and negatives. The scanner has twice the resolution of the early MG6150, too, so it can handle these small originals.
The printer has two paper trays Main: 150 cassette sliding panels from the front and a 150-sheet tray pulling up the rear. Canon recommends using plain paper cassette feedback blanks and photo but insists feed plain paper from the rear tray alignment of the printheads.
The front cover of the printer folds to become the output tray and behind it is a secondary cover that pulls down to access / CD DVD support, which allows direct disc printing.
To the right of the output, tray is a folding cover to the three slots for memory cards including Compact Flash, being used by some semi-professional Canon cameras and professionals. In the back there outlets for USB and Ethernet 10/100, but the printer also supports wireless connection.
The printer uses six individual ink cartridges, black and gray by adding a picture to the usual CMYK quartet. These clip in the semi-permanent printhead and use the Canon utility bank of red LEDs to show they are properly connected.
The usual set of Windows drivers and OS X are provided, along with the basic software support, including designer labels the thoughtful disk.
