Canon SELPHY CP730 Driver Download & Reviews– If the word ‘printer’ conjures up images of oversized soft plastic boxes, you clearly need to catch up with the growing trend for compact photo printers. The Selphy CP730 offers the perfect education in all things chic and seamless in print technology.
With its gorgeous beige color and subtly curved casing, the Selphy CP730 is easy on the eyes, but don’t be fooled: some serious functionality is packed into its casing.
Like many other compact photo printers, the CP730 offers a top resolution of 300×300 dpi. This may not sound like much, but it is enough for postcards and photos.

Selphy is fully PictBridge compliant and can receive files wirelessly from any IrDA (infrared data transmission) enabled mobile phone. An optional Bluetooth unit is available.
Setting up the CP730 is easy; just be prepared to leave a little space at the back for the paper to come out, as is usually the case.
Once set up and loaded with colorants and paper, insert the memory card, and you can browse the available image files using the tiny 2-inch LCD screen. You can also use some basic editing tools.
For example, the border type can be tweaked, or you can try to make an image super clear or turn it black and white, all without connecting the Selphy to a PC. It took us 88 seconds to print a standard photo.

This doesn’t make the CP730 the fastest printer available, but it’s not too slow, either. And the results are attractive and packed with color.
Consumables are costly. Each dye cartridge contains enough to print 36 pages – $26.50 will buy the cartridge and 36 sheets. Users can purchase bulk packs for $53, buying three packs for two.
